The data source

The data source for these graphs is a report called University of California Revenue and Expense Trends (Fiscal Years 2008 through 2012) which was prepared by the UC Office of the President (UCOP). Amounts displayed in the graphs are in thousands of dollars.

The technology

These interactive graphs were made using an excellent javascript charting library called dc.js, which was built to work natively with crossfilter and leverages the super awesome d3.js.
